I just inhaled The Demon's Covenant by Sarah Rees Brennan (sarahtales), and while I absolutely loved it, one paragraph in particular really resonated with me.

One of the chapters involves the PoV character, Mae, getting to work with someone she greatly admires. The paragraph that caught me was this:
